Abstract
The proof of the Seddigin, which is considered the strongest way to prove the existence of God, is formulated in the thought of Allameh Tabataba'i by relying on the "principle of reality"; a statement that, according to some great thinkers, is the best and shortest way to prove the necessity of transcendence. Analyzing the philosophical and mystical capacities of this statement is essential to determine its true place in Islamic epistemological systems. This study, with the aim of analyzing and evaluating Allameh's account and determining its level of accuracy, has examined two key axes using the method of rational analysis: analyzing the logical form of the argument and determining its precise conclusion, and also examining the claim of the "obviousness" of the existence of the necessary transcendental in this way. The result is that Allameh Tabataba'i's account of the argument of the Siddiqin, with all its depth and brevity, as a mere transcendental argument within the framework of Masha's philosophy or transcendental wisdom, seems incomplete in proving the objectivity of the "principle of reality" with the "necessary existence". Rather, the explanatory power of this account flourishes when we understand it with the support of a mystical worldview in which the truth of existence is unique to the divine essence and other creatures, aspects, manifestations, and appearances are considered to be a single truth. In this case, any reference to "reality" will ultimately be a reference to the same transcendental truth.
